Why Use Promotional Products?

Almost every business has at one time or another used advertising "give-aways" to promote their business. Companies have imprinted their custom logos on products from "a" to "z."

Traditional favorites include matchbooks, yardsticks, pens, pencils, mugs, emery boards, key fobs, calendars, and dozens of handy household items. Advertisers know that these promotional products are an effective and inexpensive way to bring the company's name before a customer.

They give a lot of "bang for the buck."

The wise advertiser also knows that the right promotional product will not only
bring
his company's name before his customer -- it will keep it there!

Consider the following scenario: Mr. Arthur, who owns Arthur's Attractive Autos, places an ad in a local newspaper. His customer or potential customer sees it once,
and when the newspaper goes into the trash can, so does his advertisement!
Or he buys a spot announcement on local radio. Again, his customer hears it once or twice.

What happens if instead, Mr. Arthur puts his advertising dollar into an attractive travel mug imprinted with his logo? His customer carries the mug -- and his advertisement -- in his car, to the office or factory, to a board meeting, to the Friday night football game, his son's soccer game, and when he stops to chat with a friend.

Not only is the customer reminded daily of Arthur's Attractive Autos,
so is everyone else
who sees the Arthur's Auto logo!

That's a lot of mileage out of one advertising effort!

Imprinted items are also used for advertising in other ways. Trade show participants wear lanyards with name tags. Restaurants use napkins and place mats imprinted with their logos. Retail stores send their products home in bags or boxes showing where the purchase was made. Bars and taverns use pulpboard coasters under their drinks. Schools and universities sell imprinted pencils and notebooks in their bookstores.

The list is endless!

But advertisers aren't the only people who use custom imprinted items.
In response to heightened security requirements, schools, airports, hospitals, corporations and many other entities
have begun to require identification badges, often in the form of a lanyard.
Parking stickers or decals are required by businesses, schools, hospitals, and universities.

Another popular use for imprinted products is for parties, weddings, and family reunions.
Many boat owners enjoy having the name of their boat printed on napkins and plastic cups.
Marinas and car dealerships give away key chains showing their name or logo.

In short, it's hard to imagine a business or person
who won't at one time or another use a promotional product!
